Children at Edinburgh nursery explore daffodils

Date: 06 Apr 2017

Children at Bright Horizons Elsie Inglis Nursery and Preschool in Edinburgh recently spent an afternoon improving their artistic skills, after one child brought in a daffodil from outside.

After observing more of the spring weather in the past few weeks, the children chose to create their own picture using paint, pencils and pens. This was an exercise part of Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists enhancement.

“We spoke about what our flowers need to help them grow as part of the cycle of the seed sequence we are exploring,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Kate Hubbert.

The Growing Artists enhancement aims to encourage creativity in art.
