Bright Horizons Spitalfields Nursery and Preschool in London has been rated ‘Outstanding’ following a recent inspection from Ofsted.
The nursery, which was inspected on February 10th, were given the result following the release of a glowing report earlier this month. It was awarded the highest mark in all areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.
Inspection activities included Nursery Manager, Sarah Mitchell, taking part in a joint observation, and the inspector speaking with parents and taking into account their views. The inspector’s report found that:
- Staff provide a rich and varied curriculum, and children are intrigued by the exciting range of activities and experiences. They are highly motivated to explore and learn.
- Partnerships with parents and carers is outstanding. Staff are open and friendly and feedback from parents is very positive. Parents say they are kept fully informed of their children’s achievements during daily feedback, and progress is shared at regular meetings with their child’s key person.
- Children make superb progress in their learning and development in relation to their starting points and capabilities.
“We are absolutely delighted with the ‘Outstanding’ rating from Ofsted,” said Mitchell. “It’s great to see that my team’s motivation has been recognised and rewarded in such a positive way. Our focus now is to continue to offer the best possible environment in which children can flourish and naturally love learning forever.”
