Leeds Nursery children celebrate Pancake Day

Date: 08 Mar 2017

Children at Bright Horizons Leeds Day Nursery and Preschool celebrated Pancake Day this year by making their own pancakes, accompanied by health and safety mascot Candy Floss.

The children worked as a team to make the batter before cooking on the stove, discussing how to stay using the oven as they went. They then made play paper and also mud pancakes using mud, water, sticks and leaves, as found in their mud kitchen outdoors.

“The children were very excited to celebrate Pancake Day this year,” said Nursery Fiona Stewart. “They showed excellent attention to detail and ensured themselves and their friends were safe at all times when making the pancakes.”
