Bumpers children celebrate forest day

Date: 29 Mar 2017

Children at Bright Horizons Bumpers Day Nursery and Preschool in Burnaston, Derbyshire recently celebrated forest day by taking part in themed activities.

The children began the day by enhancing their creative skills through making their own forest pictures, from a variety of collage materials. They then went on a trip to their forest school where they made faces on the tree trunks using salt dough. The day ended with a cup of hot chocolate as staff read stories about forests.

“The children often look for fairies when they visit our forest school so asked if they could put sparkle dust on their pictures because the fairies like sparkly things,” said Nursery Manager Juli Walker-Jones. “So out came the green glitter to finish off their beautiful pictures.”
