Bright Horizons at 44 St Swithin Nursery in Aberdeen has formed a partnership with Ashley House Residential Home to develop the intergenerational learning.
The partnership will see the nursery children visit the residents of the home once a month, with various activities planned for the day ahead of time. The first visit occurred at the end of February which saw the children play board games with the residents.
“There was a fantastic response from both care home residents and our children,” said Nursery Manager Vicky Bowman, with regards to the first visit. “We look forward to visiting again in future months.
