Wandsworth children take part in sensory activities to improve skills
Date: 02 Feb 2017
Children at Bright Horizons Wandsworth Common Day Nursery and Preschool have been taking apart in a variety of sensory activities to improve their skills on each front.
The children began by exploring how to make a bag and experiencing different textures in the materials used to do so. They used brown paper and added glitter to the top of it.
“The children discovered that adding the glitter to the top of the paper feel slightly sandy,” said Ditta Kankulya, nursery manager. “They then played with their feet and hands in the paint, making shapes as they went. The children said it felt tingly on their feet.”
