Tytherington children learn more about rainbows

Date: 27 Feb 2017

Children at Tytherington Day Nursery and Preschool in Macclesfield have been learning more about rainbows and why they appear.

The children initially discussed their favourite colours and then painted their own versions of a rainbow. Staff then led them in a singing session of the rainbow song.

“The children are now forever looking out the window hoping to catch a glimpse of a rainbow in the sky,” said Nursery Manager Lorraine Roberts. “This was a great way to incorporate our Growing Enhancements into everyday learning such as Growing Scientists and Growing Artists.”

Bright Horizons’ Growing Scientists enhancement aims to get children familiar with scientific activities that occur in everyday life, while the Growing Artists enhancement encourages creativity in art.
