Children at Bright Horizons Rugby Beehive Nursery have celebrated Chinese New Year by taking part in a variety of themed activities.
The children have been tasting Chinese food which most had experienced for the first time, embracing new tastes and texture. They then looked at Chinese writing which helped them gain an understanding of the language in the country. They also learned about and made their own Chinese Dragon.
“The children thoroughly enjoyed learning more about Chinese New Year and they were particularly excited to try the new foods,” said Nichola Patel, nursery manager. “We were particularly pleased with their attention to detail when making their dragons.”
