Children at Bright Horizons Elsie Inglis Nursery and Preschool in Edinburgh have been learning more about birds after watching an RSPB video.
The children made food to hang in the tress of the nursery garden, in order to try and encourage birds to visit and feed. They used a mixture of suet, seeds, biscuit, flour and water to make the food themselves.
“The children were excited to learn more about birds and their natural habitat,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Kate Hubbert. “They have been exploring the planning exploration box to look at different birds, nests, eggs and feathers.”
