Bright Horizons Wokingham Day Nursery and Preschool in Berkshire has been rated ‘Good’ after its most recent Ofsted inspection.
The nursery received its inspection on December 6th and was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.
Inspection activities included Nursery Manager Annie Smith taking part in a joint observation and the inspector speaking with all of children, parents and staff. Comments in the report included the following:
- Staff have a good understanding of children’s individual needs. They provide a varied range of activities, toys and resources. Staff interact well with children to support how they engage in their play and learning.
- Children enjoy their day. They have warm bonds with staff and behave very well.
- Staff have a thorough understanding of children’s starting points on entry to the nursery and their ongoing learning as they move into different age rooms. They plan effectively for children’s next steps. Children make good developmental progress.
“I’m delighted the dedication of the staff has been recognised in our latest Ofsted report,” said Smith. “We will continue to reflect on our practice to ensure we are constantly providing the best learning environment for the children in our care and seek to make further improvements as such as we move forward.”
