Ely children make their own bird feeders

Date: 13 Jan 2017

Children at Bright Horizons Ely Day Nursery and Preschool have made their own bird paintings and feeders that they put to use outdoors, in an exercise part of the organisation’s Growing Artists enhancement.

The children used to stick cereals and biscuits on with honey and hung them to the trees outside, alongside their own bird paintings they had created which portrayed the robin.

“The children had great fun learning all about the robin and its colours,” said Sarah Whitaker, deputy nursery manager. “They loved exploring with different colours.”

Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists enhancement encourages creativity in art.
