Didsbury children celebrate Burns Night

Date: 27 Jan 2017

Preschool children at Bright Horizons Didsbury Day Nursery and Preschool took part in their own Burns Night by learning more about the traditional Scottish celebration.

The children read some of Robert Burns’ famous poems and also discovered more about what is typically associated with the event, including haggis and Scottish music such as bagpipes.

“The children were excited to take part in Burns Night and learn more about the celebration,” said Deputy Nursery Manager Gemma Milburn. “We were delighted with their application and pronunciation skills when reading the poems.”
