Basingstoke children enjoy mark making
Date: 18 Jan 2017
Children at Bright Horizons Teddies Basingstoke recently took part in a mark making activity, an exercise part of the organisation’s Growing Writers enhancement.
Staff placed a sheet of cling film on top of a variety of paints, with the children then using their fingers to make marks. They each tried to create their own shapes and letters underneath the cling film.
“We were delighted with the children’s interest and creativity during the mark making exercise,” said Deirdre Mellors, nursery manager. “Our Growing Writers programme helps to support and enhance the children’s learning through fun and engaging activities for all ages.”
The Growing Writers enhancement aims to support a child on their magical journey to become a creative writer.
