Sale children learn about road safety

Date: 06 Dec 2016

Children at Bright Horizons Sale Day Nursery and Preschool have been learning about road safety in association with National Road Safety Week.

Staff led a discussion about the role of the lollipop man and the children spoke about how they obey the rules of the road to cross safely. They each made their own lollipop sticks to practice crossing the road.

Bright Horizons health and safety mascot Candy Floss was also present to ensure the children remained safe throughout.

“The children had lots of fun making their own lollipop sticks and learning more about road safety,” said Jenny McDougall, nursery manager. “We were delighted at the improvement in their awareness skills when learning more about how to cross the road safely.”
