Richmond children create bug hotel

Date: 02 Dec 2016

Children at Bright Horizons Richmond Day Nursery and Preschool have created a new bug hotel in the nursery garden.

The hotel was constructed from a range of sticks and wood blocks, while the children also made mini plaques that contained facts about the different types of bugs likely to be found in the garden. This enabled them to learn more about different species of insects.

“All the children are loving spending time in the bug hotel and are all very proud of their creation, as are we as staff,” said Nursery Manager Scott Humphrey. “We look forward to studying and interacting with the bugs more in the weeks ahead.”
