Nursery raises more than £2,000 for charity

Date: 30 Dec 2016

Children and staff at Bright Horizons Nursery on the Green and Preschool in Frimley Green, Surrey, have raised more than £2,000 for charity following a Christmas fete.

Funds raised from the event will go towards both Frimley Park Special Baby Care and the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children. The fete included Santa’s grotto and a cake stall, while a local choir was also in attendance to provide some festive music.

“The event was a huge success and we were delighted to raise lots of money,” said Nursery Manager Lynsey Gardner. “It also helped to get all of our families into the festive spirit.”

Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis.  They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.

The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
