Ely nursery assistant raises money for foundation through sky dive
Date: 19 Dec 2016
A staff member at Bright Horizons Ely Day Nursery and Preschool has raised money for the organisation’s foundation after completing a sky dive.
Daniel McAlister, a nursery assistant, managed to raise a total of £306 for the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, with the rest of the staff team confirming their pride at his achievement.
“It was the scariest and most exciting thing I’ve ever done, a once in a lifetime experience to cross off the bucket list” said McAlister. “The best thing is that it was all to raise money for such a great cause. I’m so glad I did it.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
