Bright Horizons Elvetham Heath Day Nursery and Preschool in Surrey has been rated ‘Good’ after its most recent Ofsted inspection.
The nursery received its inspection on October 26th and was rated as ‘Good’ in all four areas of inspection: Effectiveness of the leadership and management; Quality of teaching, learning and assessment; Personal development, behaviour and welfare; Outcomes for children.
Inspection activities included Nursery Manager Toni Kirby taking part in a joint observation and the inspector speaking with management, staff, parents and the children. Comments in the report included the following:
- Staff provide children with a wide range of activities and experiences. For example, children enjoy being outside developing their physical skills. They help staff grow vegetables and use their imaginative skills when playing in the mud kitchen.
- Children have good levels of emotional well-being. They have positive relationships with staff and each other. Children behave well, concentrate in their play and talk to their friends and adults.
- Children make good progress. They are well prepared for the next stage in their learning, including school. For example, the preschool teacher visits local schools to find out what they can do to help children prepare for the move.
“I’m delighted that the hard work and dedication my team put in to the nursery to ensure we provide exceptional care and education has been reflected in our latest Ofsted inspection, said, Toni Kirby, Nursery Manager. “As always we will continue to reflect on our practice to ensure we are constantly providing the best learning environment for the children in our care.”
