Crewe children learn about ice formation

Children at Bright Horizons Crewe Day Nursery and Preschool have been learning about how ice is formed, in an activity part of the organisation’s Growing Scientists programme.

After the ice was formed, the children then used their sensory skills to feel the texture and temperature of it. Observations then followed about the solidness and coldness of the ice.

“The children were fascinating by the ice and observed the conditions that are needed for its formation,” said Nursery Manager Claire Chadwick. “We look forward to assisting them in more scientific activities.”

The Growing Scientists programme helps children to identify scientific activities that occur in everyday life.
