Bright Horizons Church Crookham Day Nursery and Preschool in Fleet, Hampshire has held its annual Christmas Fayre, with all of the money raised going towards the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
A total of £190 was raised as a result of the sale of hot drinks, hot dogs and mince pies that the children had made. The nursery also had stalls selling Christmas gifts, from body products to portraits, and the children had lots of fun decorating baubles and other decorations.
“There was a live singer performing Christmas songs to get everyone in the festive spirit and there was a surprise visit from Father Christmas, all the way from the North Pole, who spoke to the children about what they had requested for Christmas,” said Nursery Manager Gemma Lacy. “Everyone who attended our Christmas Fayre had lots of fun and are now feeling very festive.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
