Barrow children learn more about space

Date: 02 Dec 2016

Children at Bright Horizons Barrow Day Nursery and Preschool have been learning more about outer space and the solar system, after the appearance of the ‘Super Moon’ last month.

The moon sparked the children’s interest and they studied more about the different planets whilst dressing up as spacemen, in an exercise part of the Growing Scientists programme. They learned about the different names of the other planets and their properties.

“The children were enthused to learn more about what’s out there in outer space,” said Nursery Manager Leanne Jackson. “They were excited to dress up in their space costumes.”

Bright Horizons Growing Scientists programme helps children identify scientific activities in everyday life.
