Finchley grandparents assist children with artwork at nursery
Date: 09 Dec 2016
Children at Bright Horizons Active Learning Finchley Nursery were assisted by their grandparents this week after learning more about the work of artist Piet Mondrian.
The grandparents joined in an art workshop at the nursery, which saw the children use Mondrian’s work to create collaborative pictures of their own. The grandparents produced their own images whilst helping their grandchildren with theirs. The workshop was part of the Growing Artists programme.
“We were delighted to be joined by the children’s grandparents as we studied the work of Mondrian further,” said Poppy Hinton, nursery principal. “We were delighted with the children’s attention to detail in producing their artwork and the grandparents thoroughly enjoyed being part of the workshop.”
Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists programme encourages children to be creative in art.
