The Playhouse children make their own toy fireworks
Date: 10 Nov 2016
Children at The Playhouse Day Nursery in Swindon have enjoyed making their own toy fireworks as part of the Bonfire Night festivities.
The children used toilet roll inners and colourful paints to make and decorate their fireworks, before playing with them in the nursery garden. Those in the preschool room also made their own firework paintings, using a variety of colours and paintbrushes.
“The children thoroughly enjoyed making their own fireworks,” said Claire Hatherall, nursery manager. “We were delighted with the creativity shown and all of the activities were effective ways to continue our Growing Artists programme.”
Bright Horizons’ Growing Artists programme aims to encourage creativity in art.
