Halloween ball at Clairmont raises money for Foundation
Date: 02 Nov 2016
A Halloween ball at Bright Horizons Clairmont Day Nursery and Preschool in Wilmslow has raised £200 for the organisation’s foundation.
Children, families and staff came together for the ugly bug ball, with all the funds going towards the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
The ball featured a spooky experiment room with bubbling cauldrons, a messy play room, hook-a-duck, a tombola and a pumpkin hunt. Nursery pupil Grace and her family also won the nursery bake off.
“The children were extremely excited for the Halloween ball and everyone in attendance had a great time,” said Angela Brandwood-Greene, nursery manager. “We were delighted to raise money for a charity obviously close to our hearts.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
