Triangle children raise money for foundation with cake sale
Date: 14 Oct 2016
Children at Bright Horizons Triangle Day Nursery and Preschool in Oxford have been raising money for the organisation’s foundation by holding a cake sale at the nursery.
The cake sale is ongoing and a variety of treats are on offer at the nursery, all baked by the children’s as part of the Creative cooks programme. All of the money raised will be put toward the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children.
“As part of our foundation fundraising drive, the families have been baking and buying some delicious cakes,” said Liz Clements, nursery manager. “We had a lovely time with lots of inspiration.”
Set up in 2005, the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children’s sole purpose is to help children and families in crisis. They achieve this by working with local community groups, shelters and with Bright Horizons clients to create Bright Spaces®, which are indoor and outdoor play spaces located in homeless shelters, domestic violence refuges and refugee centres.
The spaces are created in order to provide children and families in need with a special place to play, have fun and most of all feel safe.
