Children at Bright Horizons Talbot Woods Day Nursery and Preschool in Poole have been taking part in a variety of activities as part of Growing Up Healthy Week.
The children picked herbs and vegetables from the nursery garden and watered the plants. They also had a discussion about flower arrangements as well as the roots of the plants.
The children also tried corn on the cob, which was then added to the new winter menu at the nursery. Afterwards they entered the student hall to take part in a music and movement class.
“The children have enjoyed all of the activities involved with Growing Up Healthy Week,” said Nursery Manager Terri Lowther. “We were pleased we were able to link the activities to the majority of our Growing programmes and the children are looking forward to implementing the healthy activities into their daily routine.”
