Date: 04 Oct 2016
Preschool children at Bright Horizons Summerfields Day Nursery and Preschool in Wilmslow have taken part in a number of physical activity exercises, as part of Growing Up Healthy Week.
Nursery staff invited in a coach from Ministry 4 Sport, which offers high quality physical activity programmes to people of all ages across Staffordshire and Cheshire, to instruct the children. As part of the Bright Horizons Active Athletes programme, the children took part in a number of exercises designed to improve their throwing and catching skills.
“The children really enjoyed the activities and enjoyed themselves playing throw and catch,” said Laura Brown, nursery manager. “We are pleased we were able to offer physical activity opportunities, with the help of Ministry 4 Sport, as part of Growing up Healthy Week.”The Active Athletes programme aims to offer children physical activity opportunities throughout the day.
