Finchley children embrace Paralympic spirit
Date: 04 Oct 2016
Children at Bright Horizons Active Learning Finchley Nursery have celebrated the Rio 2016 Paralympics s by assisting each other in several races.
The children first learned about the components of a first aid box including bandages and eye patches. They then competed in the races which included wearing blindfolds and hopping on one leg towards the finish line. In each race, the children helped guide each other to the finish line.
“The children have thoroughly enjoyed the day and have been captivated by the Paralympics,” said Poppy Hinton, nursery principal. “They enjoyed cheering on the Team GB athletes and are looking forward to the next Games.”Bright Horizons’ Active Athletes learning approach aims to provide children with physical activity opportunities throughout the course of the day.
