Englefield children celebrate Jewish New Year by making bread
Date: 07 Oct 2016
Children at Bright Horizons Englefield Green Nursery and Preschool in Egham, Surrey have made their own challah bread to celebrate the Jewish New Year.
The children used honey in making a bread to wish everyone a sweet year ahead, in an exercise part of the Creative Cooks programme.
“The children all got stuck in and enjoyed making the bread,” said Sarah Johnston, deputy nursery manager. “We also dipped apples in honey at snack time as this is what they do to wish a sweet year also.”
