Children at Bright Horizons Crewe Day Nursery and Preschool have been exploring the seasonal weather change with autumn well and truly underway.
The children went outside and spent time looking at the leaves and other natural items that had fallen from the trees. They then took the items back into the nursery to create their own representations of the findings, in an activity part of the Growing Artists programme.
“The children have noticed a change in the natural colours we see outside and were excited to get out and discover more for themselves,” said Nursery Manager Claire Chadwick. “The activity has intrigued their interested in the changing of seasons and they are looking forward to the changes that lie ahead.”
The Bright Horizons Growing Artists programme aims to encourage children to be creative in art.
