Children at Bright Horizons Teddies Greenwich Nursery and Preschool have been exploring a variety of textures and changes within different materials, in an exercise part of the organisation’s Growing Scientists programme.
The children mixed different materials together and also added food colouring, while the staff then talked about the process and the results of what had occurred.
“The children showed great enthusiasm for the task at hand and were intrigued to learn what would come of the different materials when they were mixed together,” said Loraine Thorpe, nursery manager. “The activity was a great way to continue our Growing Scientists programme.”
Bright Horizons’ Growing Scientists programme aims to help children identify scientific activities in everyday life.
