Children at Bright Horizons Teddies Greenwich Nursery and Preschool have been getting into the Olympic spirit by discussing and participating in themed activities recently.

The children firstly took part in a number of games themselves, as part of Bright Horizons’ Active Athletes programme, including the egg and spoon race and transporting water. The games were followed by a family picnic where the staff, children and parents got to spend time together.

“The children had lots of fun participating in the Olympic-themed activities,” said Loraine Thorpe, nursery manager. “We were glad everyone was able to enhance their relationships as part of the picnic.”

Bright Horizons’ Active Athletes learning approach aims to provide children with physical activity opportunities throughout the course of the day.
