Richmond children enjoy rugby lessons

Date: 15 Aug 2016

Children at Bright Horizons Richmond Day Nursery and Preschool have been participating in some physical activity recently, as part of the organisation’s Active Athletes programme.

Ahead of the new rugby union season, the children have been taking part in their own rugby lessons. They were taught the basic rules of the game and participated in a number of exercises including running with the ball and passing to their friends.

“The children were very excited to take part in the rugby lessons,” said Nursery Manager Scott Humphrey. “They particularly enjoyed tackling the staff to the floor.”

The Active Athletes programme aims to provide children with various physical activity opportunities throughout the course of the day.
