Children at Bright Horizons Englefield Green Nursery and Preschool have been getting into the Olympic spirit by taking part in a range of activities to celebrate Rio 2016.

The children entered into a discussion about the Olympics whilst making their own preschool flag and torch. The children also painted a picture of the Olympic rings, discussing the colours used and what takes place at the Olympic Games.

The nursery has also organised a range of sport activities to take place in the garden, as part of Bright Horizons’ Active Athletes programme.

“The children have been enthused by the Olympic Games in Rio and we are delighted with their enthusiasm for the themed activities so far,” said Nursery Manager Alice Blackman. “They are looking forward to more sport activities in the next few weeks.”

Bright Horizons’ Active Athletes learning approach aims to provide children with physical activity opportunities throughout the course of the day.
