Children at Bright Horizons Tassel Road Day Nursery and Preschool in Bury St Edmunds have taken part in the nursery’s own summer family sports day.

A number of families came out to support the children in traditional races that included the egg and spoon race.

“The sports day was a great way for the children to get outdoors and participate in some healthy, physical activity,” said Nursery Manager Rebecca Bourne. “We were delighted to see so many parents and families cheering on the children.”

The sports day was organised by the nursery as part of Bright Horizons’ Active Athletes learning approach, which aims to provide children with physical activity opportunities throughout the course of the day.
