Children at Bright Horizons Englefield Green Nursery and Preschool have been adapting to the warm weather by making ice lollies to cool them down.
On Wednesday, staff helped the children set up the activity which included juice cordial in a jug, lollipop sticks and freshly cut strawberries.
The children then poured their juice into their plastic cup with help from staff and added the strawberries, finally putting in their sticks.
“The children had great fun making their own ice lollies,” said Alice Blackman, nursery manager. “It gave us the ideal opportunity to discuss how liquids can turn in to solids, with the added benefit of having a tasty treat after lunch to help us cool down.”
