Crewe children take part in outdoor mark making

Date: 11 Jul 2016

Children at Bright Horizons Crewe Day Nursery and Preschool have been taking advantage of the sunshine by participating in some outdoor mark making.

Staff have been spending time with the babies to discover the different marks that can be made, in an activity part of the company’s Growing Writers programme.

The children were able to explore a number of different coloured paints and selection materials to work with.

“Everybody enjoyed the mark making exercise and it was interesting to see the different shapes and patterns the children were able to make,” said Nursery Manager Claire Chadwick. “It’s encouraging to see them excited about this type of activity at such a young age.”

The Growing Writers programme supports children in their journey to become a creative writer.
