Bright Horizons Lynda Ellis Day Nursery in Sheffield received a visit from local police officers last week where children were able to interact with and use police equipment.
During the visit, the police gave a talk about their role in the community and how they help and look after people.
The children at the nursery were also able to sit inside a police car, work the siren, make the lights flash and use the police radio. At the end of the visit, the police also posed for a photograph with all of the children.“We are very grateful to the police paying visiting our nursery and speaking to the children about the important role they play in our community,” said Nursery Manager Richard Kelly. “Safety is an ever present element in our education and always at the forefront, and we are happy to have the police come and visit us anytime.”
