Bright Horizons help local food bank this Christmas

Date: 22 Dec 2015

When staff from Bright Horizons’ office in Summerfields Village in Wilmslow heard that there are local families in an urgent need of food supplies, they decided to act quickly.

A food collection (of tins, biscuits, Christmas pudding and even Christmas crackers ) has been arranged for Food Friends based at St Bartholomew’s Church in Wilmslow, providing support for individuals and families in the SK9 area who have found themselves unable to put food on their table.

“The project currently helps nearly 160 local families and individuals,” said Flow Knowles, the Food Friends Project Manager. “The number is growing, especially at this time of the year, so donations like this are invaluable for our work to continue.”
