Bright Horizons shortlisted for two prestigious Awards
Date: 09 Jul 2015
Bright Horizons is delighted to announce that they have been shortlisted for two awards at the 2015 Nursery World Awards.
The Nursery World Awards are one of the sector’s most prestigious events, highlighting dedicated professionals, inspiring work and outstanding practices of those in the Early Years sector.
Suzie Nelson, Learning and Development Business Partner, has been selected as a finalist for the Trainer of the Year Award, which recognises an exceptional individual who is responsible for early years and childcare training.
Suzie’s nomination is in recognition for her inspiration, passion and talent in training and facilitating learning, and guiding and supporting those in the early years sector to deliver the highest-quality care and education. The nomination acknowledges Suzie’s ability to ‘make learning fun, feeling like you have learnt a thousand things’ and her ‘let’s do’ attitude, which places her in great stead to support others to learn and progress.
In addition, Jacky, Nursery Assistant at Bright Horizons Mansion House, has been shortlisted for the Newcomer of the Year Award, which recognises early years practitioners who are new to the sector, with less than one year’s experience, but have already made a great difference to children, families and colleagues.
Jacky, who joined Bright Horizons in September 2014 through the Early Years Apprenticeship Programme, immediately excelled and has already been welcomed into the nursery as a permanent member of the team. In her nomination, Jacky is recognised as someone new to the sector who already possesses a great eagerness to learn and develop, and to provide the greatest opportunities for children in the early years.
The annual awards evening will take place on Saturday 26 September 2015 at The Brewery, London.
Lydia Green, Senior Director of Operations at Bright Horizons, said, “I am absolutely delighted that two of our colleagues have been shortlisted at this year’s Nursery World Awards. Their ability to encourage, inspire and support our children, families and colleagues is outstanding and the awards provide a fantastic opportunity and platform on which to highlight the contributions they make to the Early Years sector.”
