Wooldale Nursery and Preschool is located on campus at the Caroline Chisholm School in Wootton, Northampton. We are proud to have achieved a “Good” Ofsted Rating, and Accreditation status through the Pre School Learning Alliance (2009), in recognition of the high quality of the learning and play provided for children, curriculum planning and assessment, and our working in partnership with parents and carers.

At our nursery and preschool, dedicated rooms for each age group offer a homely, comfortable environment. We allow each child the space to progress and learn at a level appropriate to them, and all children have access to our enclosed outdoor space which offers the opportunity for fresh air, exercise and outdoor learning.

The baby room staff build close relationships with parents to mirror babies home care routines, while older children benefit from an organised environment in which to explore, discover, learn and develop. With activities carefully planned by the experienced staff team including story time, arts and crafts and role play - there is never a dull moment at Wooldale!

Cookery Club and Gardening Club are just two of the exciting initiatives on offer to Wooldale children, and our Ready For School programme, which includes Growing Readers, Growing Mathematicians and Growing Writers, helps develop early literacy skills and prepare children for their next step - school! Our rural location means we can host walks around the village and visits to the nearby horses. Music and Movement has been an ongoing activity at the nursery, and has recently been extended to all rooms across the nursery which is an additional charge.
