Teddies Woking
Day Care nursery in Surrey
Included in our nursery fees are branded nappies, wipes, nappy cream, bottles and, should a parent wish, formula milk.
Teddies Woking Nursery is based in a large, period house on a quiet residential street, with just five minutes’ walk to Woking town centre, and ten minutes to Woking train station, which has a direct line into London’s Waterloo Station.
Children are divided into three age groups within the nursery - Baby Care (caring for children aged 3 months to 2 years) Little Learners (age 2-3 years) and our Learning Centre for older children (aged 3-5 years). We work closely with Early Years Professionals to ensure best practice in all areas.
We offer a wide range of age-appropriate activities and resources, allowing children to develop to their maximum potential through play and learning. Activities include: - arts and crafts, sand and water play, music and movement, and much more! We encourage independence and confidence in our children, enabling them to make choices in a safe, secure environment.
“Thank you so much for helping my child settle in so well and making nursery feel like her home from home. It's wonderful to see the bond she has with you.”-Parent at Teddies WokingThe Learning Centre operates a free flow system between rooms, allowing for free choice by the children. Here children are introduced to subjects like reading, writing, maths, science and ICT - these activities are designed to assist children in becoming more independent, and to support them on the preparation stages for school.
Our spacious garden allows children to explore the outdoor environment in all types of weather. Within the garden, children plant seeds and grow their own vegetables, learning about nature and seasons.
Nursery meals are home cooked, catering for a variety of cultural beliefs, preferences, allergies and any other dietary needs. We recently received an award for high standards in our kitchen - Five Stars for Good Hygiene!
“My son loves his Teddies days and we think that the Learning Centre team are doing a super job in providing a very caring and nurturing environment. We also really appreciate the extra effort that goes into the special activities that you arrange to include the parents as well as the children”-Parent at Teddies WokingWe also offer extracurricular activities such as Jo Jingles music lessons, with regular visits from external agencies such as Zoo Lab. Various events and festivals are celebrated throughout the year including Christmas, Diwali, Easter, Father’s Day, Mother’s Day and a Graduation Ceremony for school leavers!
“Parents are kept well informed about their child and nursery life through a daily exchange of both verbal and written information and through information displayed throughout the nursery on notice boards. They are also able to discuss their child's progress at formal evening meetings. Parents confirm the nursery share all their policies and procedures with them and state that the nursery is 'really good' and 'fantastic'.”-Teddies Woking Ofsted Report
