Teddies West Hampstead is conveniently located for parents, with a variety of bus lines, tubes and train stations all within walking distance. For parents that drive, we provide parking permits for nearby parking arrangements – please ask for details.

Our comforting nursery environment has several rooms that are separated by age group - babies start their nursery life in our self-contained baby unit, which has a separate milk kitchen, sleep room and changing facilities. When babies are ready they can join in with the older children and enjoy facilities like our ‘Movement and Sensory Room’, where children of all ages are able to explore and develop their physical skills.

Children over 15 months have access to a wide range of activities, toys and resources for play and learning experiences. Activities include: story time, messy play, sand and water and role-play, while pre-school children experience an introduction into subjects such as reading, writing, maths, science, IT and French in preparation for the move to ‘big school’.

Our goal is to develop their growing skills and produce ‘well-rounded’ and confident children - we offer an excellent range of extra-curricular activities: Music and Movement, Art and Craft Classes, Portuguese Lessons and Makaton Workshops are all available to broaden young horizons. Cookery Club and Gardening Club are very popular too – in our nursery’s large garden we grow herbs and vegetables, which are eventually cooked and eaten in Cookery Club!

Teddies West Hampstead children go on regular walks and outings, helping them to become familiar with their local community. We are spoilt for choice with local parks – as well as Hampstead Heath we have Queens Park and Kilburn Grange, which our children love to visit to see squirrels, farm animals, and to gather leaves, and have picnics. We also visit the pet shop and library too.

We encourage all of the family to become part of nursery life! We communicate with parents regularly with our weekly memo, which includes relevant information about staffing and plans for the children’s activities. Parents are also invited to join us at social events such as festivals, Cheese and Wine evenings, and our popular Family Fun days.

Included in Teddies West Hampstead nursery fees are branded nappies, nappy cream, bottles and, (should a parent wish), a formula milk of your choice.
