Teddies West Dulwich
Day Care nursery in London
Teddies West Dulwich Nursery is located within the former Baptist Church on Gipsy Road, very close to Crystal Palace Park and local shops. It is just a short distance from Dulwich Picture Gallery and the beautiful Dulwich Park. We are extremely convenient for busy families – within easy reach of rail links and bus services to Central London.
“My partner and I just wanted to say a huge thank you for the "care" ruse to enable our son to settle in the morning! It's ideas like this that truly demonstrate that you are able to "think outside the box" in trying to make his nursery day a positive one”- Parent at Teddies West Dulwich
Teddies West Dulwich Nursery is separated three different age groups.
Our Ladybird baby care unit provides its own milk kitchen, changing facilities and sleep room ensuring babies can follow their familiar routines as they would at home. For our children over 16 months, the Sunflower Room is a spacious and vibrant zone with resources and activities encouraging toddler’s growing independence.
In our two pre-school rooms (for children aged two and a half to five), our daily curriculum introduces subjects as reading, writing, maths and science which help to prepare them for school and develop their confidence. We are also linked to Paxton Children’s Centre and have monthly visits from a qualified teacher.
“I can’t thank you all enough for the tremendous care you have all been part of giving my children over the last few years. I’ve never hesitated to recommend Teddies to other people and will continue to do so. I don’t know what the future holds for me but (dare I say it) if I ever have any more kids, I will bring them to Teddies”- Parent at Teddies West Dulwich
We re-developed our nursery’s outdoor area in February 2011 – our garden is now a beautiful, natural haven enjoyed by children of all ages - babies enjoy crawling on grass, smelling and touching plants, digging in the sand pit, and having cuddles in our relaxation hub, while toddlers ride bikes, balance and climb, splash in muddy puddles and play games. Older children enjoy growing vegetables, climbing logs, or just exploring and discovering wildlife. Children also have access to a large selection of bikes, scooters and pushchairs for physical and imaginative play.
In addition to our fantastic garden, our other facilities include ample buggy storage, a nursery library, and excellent food provision - our dedicated Nursery Catering Supervisor has been with the nursery since it opened, serving healthy and nutritious snacks meals. All dietary requirements are welcome, and catered for. A fresh fruit breakfast basket is served weekly to parents and all baby formula and Organic Weaning breakfast cereal is included in the monthly cost.
“Parents and carers are made very welcome and relationships are positive, promoting children's welfare successfully. Parents have a clear input into their children's learning and development and contribute to observations and evaluations of children's next steps.”- "Good" Oftsed June 2011
Also included in our nursery fees are branded nappies, nappy cream, bottles, sun cream and sunhats, and, should a parent wish, formula milk.
