Teddies Twickenham

Day Care nursery in Middlesex

Teddies Nurseries in Twickenham is proud to have received an "OUTSTANDING" result by Ofsted in their most recent inspection

Teddies Twickenham is a 44 place day nursery, located close to Twickenham Train station, which has direct links to London Waterloo.

Our staff team are highly experienced, with more than 80% of the staff team NVQ3 qualified and the Nursery Manager holds a foundation degree in Early Years

In our self contained babycare area, we offer babies a comforting environment, with gentle activities designed to encourage their development. Babies in the nursery follow any familiar feeding and sleeping routines, just as they would at home. Children enjoy a wide range of experiences such as sensory play, messy play and music and dance, helping to develop skills they will need in future life. Children’s achievements are praised and recorded from a very early age, with photos and artwork displayed in their own personal ‘Learning Journey’ diary, which we share with parents/carers.

Our over two’s group has three bright, airy rooms in which children freely access a range of activities throughout the day. We have a story area, an arts and crafts area, a messy play area and a host of resources designed to provide beneficial learning experiences.

“Teddies is a lovely environment, happy and very friendly. Thank you for taking great care of my son and daughter” Parent at Teddies Twickenham

Our pre-school children receive an early academic boost as they are introduced to subjects such as reading, writing, maths and science, improving their confidence in readiness for school. We also encourage children to become self-sufficient in dressing, toileting and eating - promoting independence before they embark on the journey to ‘big school’! Teddies Twickenham children also benefit from extra-curricular activities, such as French and Theatre Bugs.

“Thank you all for your commitment and support at Twickenham, the children thrive with all your passion and the time you give to them” Parent at Teddies Twickenham

Within our enclosed garden children enjoy outdoor activities in the fresh air; growing their own flowers, playing on cars and bikes and enjoying balls and hoops. We also take walks to local parks, feed the ducks on the River Thames and visit our community library. The Nursery also supports charities within the local community as well as the Bright Horizons Foundation for Children, raising money throughout the year to support families in need

We pride ourselves on providing excellent quality childcare and education for all children and actively promote good partnership with parents through regular, open communication and involvement in their child’s learning and development. Our annual family events bringing together parents, children and nursery staff. In addition each term, the Nursery hosts a "Mum's Night" and "Dad's Night" which enables families that attend the nursery the opportunity to meet each other and get involved in the activities that their children would engage in at Nursery.

Our fees include branded nappies, nappy cream, bottles and, should a parent wish, formula milk.

‘The setting is highly organised in its deployment of resources and the play environment offers an excellent range of different play areas for children. On the upper level within the building, the setting provides highly consistent learning opportunities for children aged under two years, with an excellent range of resources to support physical development and sensory and manipulative skills. On the older children's floor level, the over twos enjoy a highly organised and well resourced messy play room, which is a prominent and outstanding feature’ Ofsted report June 2011
