Day Care Nursery in Kent

Teddies Nursery Tonbridge is conveniently located just five minutes’ walk from Tonbridge railway station, offering direct lines to London Bridge, Waterloo East and Charing Cross mainline stations. The nursery is also just five minutes drive from the A21, and a link to either the south coast or the M25. Our attractive nursery is situated within a converted primary school, in an historic building which dates back to 1847.

We have four large, light and airy rooms, decorated with the children's own valuable projects, photographs and works of art.

Our Babycare unit has its own milk kitchen and changing facilities, and a cot room, where babies are able to have their own comforters/blankets, and follow familiar home routines. Babycare staff host a range of activities designed to encourage learning and growth, including water and sand play, painting and messy activities. Our second Babycare unit, for babies 15 months upwards is a ‘transition room’ where children can grow in confidence before moving into our toddler room, which cares for children aged 2-3 yrs.

Many activities are planned around the children’s own individual interests - typical activities include: story time, messy play, arts and crafts, singing, music and movement and sand and water play. The pre-school room cares for children between 3 – 5yrs, who are introduced to subjects such as reading, writing, science, maths, IT and French, boosting their confidence in preparation for school.

Our popular outdoor area has a wealth of resources for safe play and learning - soft bricks/rocks for construction play, a climbing frame, play house, tricycles, and bats and balls are all available in this soft surface area. We also have a sand pit, and mini-tepees – ideal for children to have quiet times, or having a story read to them.

Teddies Tonbridge children enjoy regular outings, including family picnics, and visits to Tonbridge Park and the Castle Grounds, where we enjoy feeding the ducks at the duck pond, and learning all about local history!

Included in our nursery fees are branded nappies, nappy cream, sun cream, bottles and, should a parent wish, a formula baby milk of your choice.
