Teddies Raynes Park Nursery and Preschool
Day Care Nursery in London
Teddies Nursery, Raynes Park, is located beside Raynes Park Station with trains running direct to Clapham Junction, Kingston and London Waterloo, with adjacent free parking for easy dropping off and collection in Spencer Road and close proximity to shops, a library and parks - which our children love to visit on outings!
We have a self-contained under 2's area with its own milk kitchen, changing facilities and sleep room, letting babies happily follow their own familiar routines. Within their comforting environment, babies take part in appropriate activities and gentle play with items like Treasure Baskets, which helps to develop their learning and growth.
“Thank you so much for the love you have shown to our child over the past year. She mentions you all when we are at home and gets excited when she knows we are on the way to nursery. It makes it so much easier leaving her knowing she is in good hands.”-Parent at Teddies Raynes ParkFor nursery children over 15 months we offer a large variety of stimulating activities and toys to encourage play and learning including story time, arts and crafts, music and movement, singing, and messy play. Pre-school children are given a tailored, age-appropriate introduction into subjects such as reading, writing, maths and science to help develop their confidence and prepare them for school. This is a crucial time to get children enthusiastic about learning, and so we focus on teaching the subjects that Teddies children will need to get a head-start on education.
All children at Teddies Raynes Park actively take part in Gardening and Cookery clubs.
“Thank you all for providing such a great atmosphere for my son. I feel confident leaving him with you and he always talks about you all as his 'friends'!”-Parent at Teddies Raynes ParkAfter the children decide which flowers and vegetables to grow, we take a trip to the garden centre together to choose them. Children then get to experience growing their own food. Our vegetables go into in the food that our Cookery Club creates, and after we are finished any peelings and waste go on the compost heap – or help feed our star attractions – our guinea pigs and our Nursery Rabbit!
Other attractive garden features include a ladybird tower, a bird table, and lots of high-quality play equipment to encourage children to stay fit and active.
Included in Teddies Rayne Park’s fees are all baby consumables such as branded nappies, wipes, nappy cream and, should a parent wish, formula milk.
“Children learn about the world in which we live as they observe nature in the outdoor area and go on outings. Displays of recent festivals and events such as Halloween and the snow have been created using the children's art work. Children have regular opportunities to be creative and imaginative with activities such as play dough, colouring and dressing up. Babies enjoy painting and sticking at low level tables wearing protective aprons. Children develop an awareness of Information Technology as they play with things such as telephones and tills in the role play area.”-Teddies Raynes Park Ofsted Report
