Teddies Nursery in New Southgate is located in a quiet, residential area. We are close to Arnos Grove Tube Station (only 45 minutes into Central London on the Piccadilly Line) and New Southgate Overground Station. Local roads have no parking restrictions or permit zones, making pick up and drop off time convenient for parents.

In our cosy baby room our youngest children enjoy a ‘home from home’ environment, with a separate sleep room, kitchen, changing rooms and a spacious play room in which babies begin to explore and learn. Toddlers at New Southgate can enjoy the hustle and bustle of the play rooms – where we offer a wide range of activities and resources to encourage growing abilities and skills, or quieter options such as story time with their Key Person.

Pre-school children are encouraged to be independent ahead of the move to ‘Big School’ with an introduction to reading, writing, maths, science, art and IT - soon these new skills are cropping up in all tasks that they do – from reading recipes and measuring food quantities in our Cookery Club, to ‘writing over’ words and names to develop crucial early writing skills.

New Southgate children enjoy a fantastic range of extra-curricular activities - Stretch and Grow hold physical exercise classes, teaching our two to five year olds about muscle groups and healthy lifestyles, while Music Maker sessions see our little ones making sounds with tambourines, maracas and singing along to a variety of songs, accompanied by a guitar. French lessons are also available.

All families at Teddies Southgate are encouraged to become part of nursery life - we hold a regular program of social events throughout the year. Parents are welcome to visit the nursery and look around during our ‘Open Door’ sessions, and our popular ‘Dress-Up Days’ are great fun, often incorporating multicultural themes. We also hold Nursery Open Days; giving current and prospective families the opportunity to meet and chat together. The end of year is marked with a very special ‘Graduation Ceremony’ every August for children that are leaving us.
