Teddies Loughton Nursery is a short walk from Debden Central Line Station, local shops, buses, and access to the M11 (leading to the North Circular and M25). The nursery has an onsite car park for easy pick-up and drop off.

Our well qualified childcare staff plan exciting learning activities designed to promote children’s development across all areas of the Early Years Foundation Stages. In our baby care unit we follow babies’ feeding and sleeping routines in order for them to feel our nursery is their ‘home from home’. For the nursery’s younger children, we offer an assortment of activities and resources – typical activities include arts and crafts, messy play, sand and water play, singing, and music and movement.

For pre-school children, in order to prepare them for the transition to ‘big school’ we offer an introduction to subjects such as reading, writing, science and maths. We work on a one-to-one basis with children and parents to support any individual needs, and we also work with local schools to focus on equipping school-leavers with the necessary skills needed and prioritised within each school, forging strong relationships.

All rooms at our friendly, welcoming nursery have direct access into their own well-equipped garden areas; our facilities include a vegetable patch, nature areas and trees for climbing. Our front and side gardens have recently been refurbished, and redevelopment of the rear garden is currently underway.

Teddies Loughton is embedded within our local community, with regular visits to nearby parks and the library. We fundraise for local older people’s homes and often visit our Community Centre. Our established Parents Support Group meets each term to plan and host events for families; we’ve already organised successful Christmas and Summer Fairs. Each event raised over £100, which our parents then decided how to spend. Picnics and Sports Days are very popular – as is our Graduation Day for school leavers!

Included in nursery fees are branded nappies, formula milk (should a parent wish), bottles and nappy cream.
