Just a short walk away from St John’s Wood Underground station, our nursery is a spacious, modern, purpose-built building located in a leafy residential area of St John’s Wood, with good access to local parks.

Our highly experienced and qualified nursery staff provide stimulating activities and fun learning opportunities for all our children, including role play, story time and getting creative.

“Our daughter loves to come to nursery because of you! It makes such a difference to have such loving and caring people watching over our little girl every day - both for her and for her parents! You each provide something special to her day”- Parent at St. John's Wood

At St. Johns Wood, we serve nutritionally balanced meals made with fresh, local ingredients. Our highly skilled and experienced chef consults with families to produce good food that the children want to eat. A variety of fresh seasonal fruits are also offered daily.

Activities at St. John's Wood

Our French class (Les Petites Ecoliers) runs throughout the week for all age groups. This session is run by our native French speaking pre-school teacher, who plans appropriate sessions for each age group.

Learning through Creativity includes baby massage, exploring creativity through dance, music and drama and the use of different mediums such as clay, plaster and chalks to name but a few.

“Older children are provided with many opportunities to develop skills for the future as they learn to construct a simple electric circuit using a battery, wires and small light bulbs. Children are also provided with good opportunities to link sounds to letters during everyday activities. Children are well supported by staff that use good questioning techniques that encourage children to talk about what they have learned. Older children are gaining confidence in their writing skills as staff praise them for their achievements and further promote their self-esteem as they email samples of children's writing to their parents which further promotes their involvement in their child's learning”- Ofsted August 2009

Children share two secure, enclosed outdoor play areas which offer plenty of opportunity for safe exploration and extend learning outdoors - our Cookery Club and Gardening Club are an established part of the nursery; children enjoy growing their own fruits and vegetables which are then used in our Cookery Club to make something delicious and nutritious!

Planting vegetables and watching them grow in the vegetable patch and mini green house makes learning stimulating, creative and lots of fun- our children currently have peas, tomatoes and herbs growing in the garden. In addition to outdoor play, children regularly go out on mini field trips from the nursery to the local fishmongers, greengrocers and fire station!

Ongoing events at the nursery

Our Social Events Co-ordinator ensures there are plenty of things organised throughout the year which give us a chance to spend time together with our families in a fun and informal way. Typically we organise barbecues, summer fetes, and sports days as well as celebrating international festivals – not forgetting our now famous “Daddies Day Brunch”!
